I was going through some old baby photos recently and was amazed at the resemblance between me and Halle. Im not sure how old I was in the first picture but I am 6 months in the second. Halle was just 9 mo. at the time of these pics. I dont know if you can see the resemblance as much from these photos alone but because we see her all the time and making the same faces I was in these phots, the similarities are striking to us. It is so fun to have a mini-me!!

In November, we went up to Moosecamp for the weekend with Landon and Lorna and Uncle Jimmy. Hayden had a blast fighing. He is a real outdoorsman in the making (like father like son) despite his love of ballet. I hope this will help put an end to the flak dad got for that video!
Well, I thought that wearing big boy chones would be an incentive for using the potty (in which Hayden has negative interest). When Grandma Betty bought him some with Thomas (the love of his life) on them, I gave it a try. No luck. I am determined to be patient as I have heard from so many people that the older they are the easier it is and that if they're not ready it's not worth pushing it.......I just hope its before he's 5!!! Meanwhile, Thomas and James are waiting in the drawer.....

Hayden loves to dance! He remembers when I taught ballet to the little ones at the gym (he had to join us a few times). He will do anything I instruct him to do, it is so cute! So, here he is learning his very first elements of ballet. (Because he hardly knows his numbers yet, we skipped the lesson on positions (first, second, third, etc).)

Halle had a blast on her first Halloween. She really wanted to eat the pumpkins and the gords. Hayden was a bumble bee earlier in the day for downtown trick or treating but I forgot my camera then. He refused to put the bee back on at night so we dressed him in his cowboy cloths. He looked darn cute! Mom and Dad were an Alfalfa sales team with shirts to match. We met up with some friends for dinner and one couple was dressed as Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. Hayden loves the Incredibles and got such a kick out of being chased around my Mr. I himself. Here he is showing off his Incredible muscles!

This past Sunday Hayden and Halle were dedicated at church. It was very special. I wish we had it on film because Hayden was a riot. I felt a little bad about him being so comical and getting so much attention during such a serious moment for many others, but there was mothing I could do. There was just no way he was going to stand still for 5 whole minutes. After climbimg up and down the stairs on the stage a few times he climbed inside the podium where he found some audio/visual controls and a TV monitor which of course he had to turn on and off and mess with all the buttons. It made for quite a humorous little ceremony which I think everyone appreciated in the end. But more importantly, it was very meaningful for us as parents to declare before others our intentions as parents to raise our children in a home where Christ is center, honored and enjoyed; and to ask corporately for guidence and strength in doing so. Enjoy the photos!

This year's trip to Apple Hill was a blast! Hayden especially enjoyed bowling woth the pumpkins and using Halle as a pin. Halle got a kick out of rolling the pumkins too. We ate a whole lot of yummy apple treats and brought a big box of apples home for holiday baking. This is by far one of our favorite family traditions.

Dad and Hayden gave kite flying a shot at the park. Hayden didn't really understand that he needed daddies help to do it right. He insisted that he do it himself and consequently. the kite never made it in the air. He had a blast trying though! We decided to put the kite away for another year or two!
Halle had fun watching the kite go by.
